I love a good dinner party. It’s always fun to see your friends while indulging in a delicious meal! • No casino theme party would be complete without one! All you need is a small piece of red carpet and some velvet rope or a couple of fake trees to go on either side of the walkway. Make Giant Dice.
  • A casino night is one for the books and is one of our favorite themed dinner party ideas. You won’t run out of activities or ways to keep your guests entertained because gaming is the theme of the night. Pick games that your guests feel most comfortable with or go with casino classics like blackjack, poker, and roulette.

The Theme

Choosing a theme can be hard, but I’ve really fallen in love with this Casino dinner party theme. Taking the inspiration from a deck of playing cards, this red and black themed party will have everyone ready to play a few fun games…

Or, if a casino theme isn’t quite your style, how about a garden party? If your tulips have popped up, and your hyacinth bulbs are smelling fantastic, why not take the dinner festivities outside? Go with a color scheme that matches elements of your garden, and tell your guests to come in garden party attire. Hats are CERTAINLY required…

Other theme ideas include a Taco Tuesday party (margaritas included), a Wine and Cheese party, or even a classic Murder Mystery soiree!

The Food

When hosting a spring dinner party, I really like to plan my menu around my theme. For example, if you were going with a Casino theme (as mentioned above) I would serve classic Vegas-esque items like shrimp cocktails and steak. Don’t forget to have a plethora of real cocktails available, too.

Or, if you were having a spring garden party, why not serve foods that were part of your spring garden harvest? Serve bright green salads, root veggies, peas, and even winter squash. I don’t know about you, but tasty salads get me excited for spring!

Some other food options include sushi, breakfast for dinner, barbecue, or even classic homemade pizza.

The Decor

Naturally, your decor should match your theme quite closely. Decorate with red and black for a casino themed party, and use a deck of cards as your inspiration. Don’t forget that when in Vegas (or in your living room for a casino themed dinner party) gaudier is better. Don’t be afraid to really go wild! You could even decorate your dinner table like a huge poker table!

For a garden party, I find it best to choose decorations that fit with a natural theme. I think a lavender and sage colored table would look absolutely beautiful, especially with stunning floral arrangements down the middle. Remember: it’s spring, and you can never have too many flowers.

No matter how what kind of spring dinner party you decide to throw, make your evening magical by picking a theme and weaving those elements into the party wherever possible. It’s the little things that matter!
